Superfone Alternative 2026: WhatsApp API vs Business Phone

The right Superfone alternative depends on which channel runs your business. If you mainly need a shared virtual calling number with IVR and call recording, Superfone itself (from ₹599 a month plus GST, as checked November 2026) is a strong fit. If WhatsApp is where you sell and support customers, an official WhatsApp Business API platform such as RichAutomate gives you broadcasts, chatbot flows, a team inbox and a developer API on a ₹0 pay-as-you-go plan, with a ₹0.10 platform fee per message while Meta bills its own charges directly to you.

Superfone is a well-known name among Indian SMBs: a real estate broker in Gurugram, a furniture showroom in Surat or a coaching centre in Indore downloads the app, gets a business number the whole team can answer, and stops handing out personal mobile numbers. Many later find most customer conversations have moved to WhatsApp.

This guide lays out what Superfone actually sells and charges, based on its own pricing page as checked in November 2026. It then shows where it fits better than a WhatsApp API platform and where it does not, and works through a rupee-by-rupee cost example. Where Superfone does not publish something, we say so rather than guess.

What Superfone offers in 2026

Superfone, a brand of Truegrit Technologies Pvt. Ltd., describes itself as an AI-ready business phone number. Its pricing page groups the product into five areas:

  • Business Phone. One Superfone virtual number shared by 3 users (including the owner), with incoming and outgoing call sharing, AI business caller tunes, in-app call reports, tags, notes and reminders, 30 days of auto call recording, a one-level IVR Lite menu, an owner-only web dashboard, an AI Google Reviews assistant and number masking.
  • All-in-One Pro (CRM). Everything in Business Phone, plus lead capture from multiple sources, real-time lead alerts and auto-assignment, storage for 10,000 leads at a time, sticky agent routing, a multi-level IVR Pro menu, one free automation and a WhatsApp Business API with chatbots (up to 10), broadcast campaigns and a shared inbox with chat assignment. Lead integrations with Google Ads, Meta Ads, IndiaMART, Justdial, WordPress, MagicBricks, 99acres and Housing are included.
  • AI Agents. Pre-defined AI Sales Agent and AI Receptionist roles that call leads, answer incoming calls and, through the WhatsApp API, handle WhatsApp chats. Superfone notes these do not support custom prompts or flows.
  • Click-to-Call (Sales Connect). Sales telephony for teams that already use a CRM: click-to-call, call routing, recordings and outbound webhooks.
  • Voice Platform. Voice and WhatsApp APIs for businesses that built their own AI agent on another platform.

The centre of gravity is clear. Superfone is a telephony company that has added CRM, WhatsApp and AI on top of a virtual number. That is a genuine strength if calls drive your sales, and something to weigh if they do not.

Superfone pricing, as checked November 2026

All figures below come from Superfone's own plans and pricing page. Superfone states that 18% GST applies on all prices.

  • Business Phone: ₹599 a month, sold in quarterly, half-yearly or yearly cycles. That works out to ₹2,120 for 90 days, ₹4,241 for 180 days or ₹8,482 for 365 days, including GST. The quarterly plan has a limit of 2 hours a day of outgoing calls (top-up ₹15 an hour); half-yearly and yearly list unlimited outgoing. Extra members cost ₹200 per user per month. The yearly plan includes a WhatsApp API that Superfone values at ₹6,000, which the page says is supported only on the Superfone number.
  • All-in-One Pro: ₹1,499 a month for 3 users, or ₹21,226 for a year including GST. Extra members cost ₹500 per user per month, and setup for the All-in-One plan is listed at ₹1,000. On WhatsApp, Superfone lists a ₹0.20 markup over Meta's template charges.
  • AI Sales Agent: ₹5,000 a month standalone with 700 AI call minutes, ₹12,500 a quarter, or ₹3,000 a month as an add-on with 500 minutes.
  • AI Receptionist: ₹5,400 a quarter (900 AI minutes, 1,500 WhatsApp sessions) or ₹9,000 for six months.
  • Click-to-Call: ₹700 per user per month, yearly, minimum 5 users.
  • Add-ons: an API key for CRM updates and WhatsApp sends at ₹250 per user per month, automations at ₹250 a month for a pack of 5, and WhatsApp API setup either free (self-setup) or ₹1,000.

Three policy lines on the same page matter before you pay. Superfone says it does not have a refund policy and asks buyers to use the free trial first. Buying more than one Superfone number requires annual plans on every number and is open only to Private Limited, LLP or GST-registered entities. And add-ons must be bought for the full team and the full plan duration. The page also showed a 33% first-plan offer (a ₹399 headline price) that ran till 31 October 2026, so check the app for whatever offer is live when you buy.

Superfone vs RichAutomate: feature comparison

Here is how the two line up for the jobs most Indian SMBs care about. Superfone details are from its pricing page as checked November 2026.

Where Superfone is the better choice

  • Your phone line is the sales channel. A property broker who closes deals on calls, a pest-control service taking bookings by phone or a clinic front desk that answers 80 calls a day needs a shared number, IVR and call recording first. Superfone is built for exactly that.
  • You want one app for calls, leads and some WhatsApp. If your team is three or four people and a bundled CRM with IndiaMART or 99acres lead capture, calling and a basic WhatsApp inbox covers you, All-in-One Pro keeps everything in one login.
  • You need number masking and call monitoring. Field sales teams that should not see customer numbers, or managers who review recorded calls, get that out of the box.
  • You want a ready-made AI caller. Superfone's AI Sales Agent and AI Receptionist call or answer for you with pre-defined roles. If you accept those roles as they are, there is nothing to design.

If calling sits at the centre of your process, compare telephony vendors with each other first. Our MyOperator WhatsApp alternative comparison covers another calling-first option with the same WhatsApp question attached.

Where a WhatsApp-first API platform fits better

The picture flips when most of your leads arrive from click-to-WhatsApp ads, Instagram or a WhatsApp button on your website, and your team spends the day in chats, not on calls.

  • Broadcasts without an annual phone plan. On RichAutomate you can send broadcast campaigns on the ₹0 pay-as-you-go plan and pay per message. You do not need to commit to a quarterly or yearly telephony cycle to reach your customer list.
  • Chatbot flows you design yourself. A visual flow builder lets a Jaipur jeweller build a "check gold rate, book store visit, talk to staff" flow with buttons and branches, and change it on a Sunday afternoon without a support ticket.
  • A team inbox as the main workspace. Several agents reply from one WhatsApp number, with chats assigned and visible to the whole team. Our guide to the WhatsApp shared team inbox explains how assignment and handover work day to day.
  • Developer access without per-user API fees. Your developer or Shopify agency can call POST /api/v1/send-template to send order updates, OTP-style utility messages or payment reminders, and trigger a chatbot flow from any system through an incoming webhook.
  • Keeping the number customers already know. With coexistence, you keep using the WhatsApp Business app on your existing number while the API runs broadcasts, bots and the team inbox on that same number. For a shop whose number is printed on every bill and signboard, that matters more than any feature.
  • Connecting the tools you already pay for. RichAutomate connects directly to Zoho CRM, Razorpay and Google Sheets. Anything else, such as a billing app or a form tool, links through Zapier, Make, Pabbly Connect, the API or a webhook.

One honest caveat: no WhatsApp platform, including RichAutomate, can promise that every message is delivered or that a number never gets restricted. Meta decides quality ratings based on how recipients react, so opt-in lists and useful templates matter more than the tool.

Worked cost example: a Jaipur saree retailer

Take a saree and lehenga store in Jaipur with three staff handling WhatsApp. In a typical month it sends 2,000 marketing broadcasts (new arrivals, festive offers to opted-in customers), 500 utility messages (order confirmations, alteration-ready alerts) and 1,000 replies inside the 24-hour customer service window. That is 3,500 messages in total.

Meta's India rates are about ₹0.8631 per marketing template and about ₹0.115 per utility template, and the store's 1,000 service replies inside the 24-hour window fall within Meta's free allowance for customer service conversations. Those charges are the same whichever platform you use. What changes is the platform layer on top.

Platform message fee3,500 × ₹0.10 = ₹3503,500 × ₹0.10 = ₹350, paid from the plan's wallet credit2,500 templates × ₹0.20 = ₹500
Plan fee₹0₹499, credited in full to the wallet (about ₹149 left over)₹1,499 (plus 18% GST, billed per cycle)
Approximate monthly totalabout ₹2,134about ₹2,283 cash out, with ₹149 still in the walletabout ₹3,783 before GST on Superfone's charges

Read this table carefully, because it is not a like-for-like product comparison. The Superfone figure also buys a virtual calling number, IVR, call recording and a CRM for 3 users. If the store needs those, the extra roughly ₹1,500 to ₹1,650 a month may be good value. If it already has a phone line and a billing app, and the gap is only WhatsApp broadcasts, bots and a shared inbox, the pay-as-you-go column is the honest comparison. Note too that RichAutomate's ₹0.10 applies to every message, including free-from-Meta replies, while Superfone's listed ₹0.20 applies to templates. A business that replies far more than it broadcasts should rerun the maths with its own mix.

Under Client Pay, Meta's share is billed by Meta directly to your business, so you see exactly what Meta charged. Full plan details and limits are on the RichAutomate pricing page.

Switching, or running both

This need not be either-or. Plenty of Indian businesses keep a calling product for the phone line and a WhatsApp API platform for chat.

Which number goes on WhatsApp

A WhatsApp number can be connected to only one API provider at a time. If your WhatsApp API currently runs on a Superfone number through Superfone, moving that number to another provider means disconnecting it there first. If your customers know your old mobile number, the simpler route is often to connect that number to RichAutomate with coexistence and leave the Superfone number for calls. Our WhatsApp Business app and API coexistence guide walks through the setup and what syncs between the app and the API.

Templates and opt-ins

Approved templates belong to your WhatsApp Business Account, so plan to recreate and resubmit your main templates on the new platform before switching broadcasts over. Export your opted-in customer list with the opt-in source and date, because you will need that record if Meta or a customer ever asks.

Leads from IndiaMART, Justdial or ads

Superfone includes several Indian lead-source integrations in All-in-One Pro. On RichAutomate, click-to-WhatsApp ads land straight in the team inbox. Other lead sources can feed in through Zapier, Make, Pabbly Connect or a webhook that starts a chatbot flow, and leads can be logged to Google Sheets or Zoho CRM.

Test with real customers for a week

Run one festive broadcast and one week of live chats on the new setup before you cancel anything. Remember that Superfone states it has no refund policy, so time any change around your current plan's renewal date.

Decision table: which should you pick?

How to try RichAutomate before deciding

The quickest test takes an afternoon. Connect your WhatsApp number (with coexistence if you want to keep the app), add two teammates to the inbox, submit one utility and one marketing template, and build a three-button chatbot flow for your most common question, whether that is price list, store timings or booking a visit. Send a small broadcast to 50 opted-in customers and watch the replies land in the shared inbox.

If the numbers in the table above look closer to your reality than a calling bundle does, create your RichAutomate account and run that test this week, with your Superfone line still in place for calls.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Superfone alternative in India for WhatsApp?
If WhatsApp is your main sales and support channel, an official WhatsApp Business API platform such as RichAutomate is the closer fit. It gives you a team inbox for several agents on one number, broadcast campaigns, a visual chatbot flow builder, template management and a developer API. If your business runs on phone calls and needs IVR, call recording and a shared virtual number, Superfone itself remains a strong choice.
How much does Superfone cost in 2026?
As checked November 2026 on Superfone's pricing page, the Business Phone plan is ₹599 a month for 3 users and 1 virtual number, sold quarterly, half-yearly or yearly (₹8,482 a year including GST). All-in-One Pro, which adds CRM and WhatsApp API features, is ₹1,499 a month. Extra users cost ₹200 or ₹500 a month depending on the plan. All prices attract 18% GST.
Can I keep my existing WhatsApp number when moving to RichAutomate?
Yes. RichAutomate supports coexistence, so you can keep using the WhatsApp Business app on your current number while the API runs broadcasts, chatbot flows and the team inbox on that same number. A number can be connected to only one API provider at a time, so if it is already on another provider's API, disconnect it there first and then connect it to RichAutomate.
How is WhatsApp pricing different on Superfone and RichAutomate?
Superfone's pricing page lists a ₹0.20 markup over Meta's template charges on its All-in-One Pro plan, on top of the plan fee. RichAutomate uses Client Pay: a ₹0.10 platform fee per message, with Meta billing its own charges directly to your business. Meta charges about ₹0.8631 per marketing template and about ₹0.115 per utility template in India, and service replies inside 24 hours are free from Meta.
Can I use Superfone and RichAutomate together?
Yes, and many businesses do. Keep Superfone for the shared calling number, IVR and call recordings, and connect a different number, often the mobile number customers already know, to RichAutomate for WhatsApp broadcasts, chatbots and the team inbox. Each WhatsApp number can sit with only one API provider, so decide which number handles WhatsApp before you start sending campaigns.

WhatsApp Flows vs Chatbot India 2026: Pricing Guide

WhatsApp Flows vs chatbot decoded for India 2026 - the real difference, the completion-rate impact, and the true cost. A Flow is a native in-app form for structured capture (bookings, KYC, lead forms); a chatbot is a conversation for guidance, qualification and support. Meta bills by conversation either way, so the choice does not change messaging cost - the real variable is the platform. RichAutomate: Rs 0 platform fee, Rs 0 setup, Rs 0 monthly, Client Pay Rs 0.10/msg + Meta direct, SaaS Pay Rs 1.50 marketing / Rs 0.50 utility, 14-day free trial + 100 credits.
