Meta Business Verification for UAE companies

To verify a UAE business for the WhatsApp Business API, submit your trade licence in Meta Business Settings with a legal name, address and website that match it exactly. Here is the checklist we use when onboarding UAE customers.

Checklist before you start

Trade licence

Valid mainland or free zone licence showing the company's legal name and address.

Matching details

Enter the legal name and address in Meta exactly as on the licence, including LLC or FZ-LLC.

Website

A live website that shows the same company name, ideally with the address and contact details.

Domain email or phone

An email on your website's domain, or a business phone, to receive Meta's verification code.

Steps in Meta Business Settings

Open Security Centre
In Meta Business Settings, go to Security Centre and start Business Verification.

Enter company details
Legal name, address, phone and website, matching your trade licence.

Upload documents
Upload the trade licence, plus a supporting document if Meta asks for one.

Confirm contact
Receive the code by domain email, phone or SMS and enter it.

Wait for review
Meta reviews the request; you can keep sending within the starting limit meanwhile.

Frequently asked questions

What documents does Meta accept from UAE companies?

Most UAE businesses use their trade licence as the main document. Meta may also ask for a document showing the same legal name and address, such as a utility or telecom bill, a bank statement or a VAT registration certificate.

Do I need business verification to use the WhatsApp API?

You can start sending without it, with a limit of 250 new customers a day. Verification lets the limit grow to 2,000 and beyond and is needed for an official business account badge.

Why was my verification rejected?

The usual reason is a mismatch: the legal name or address on the trade licence differs from what you typed in Meta, or the website does not show the same company name. Fix the details so they match exactly and resubmit.

How long does Meta Business Verification take?

Often a few days once documents match, sometimes longer if Meta asks for more information.

Can a free zone company get verified?

Yes. Free zone licences (for example DMCC, DIFC or Dubai South) work the same way, as long as the licence shows the legal name and address you enter in Meta.
