How a Mumbai BFSI cooperative bank shipped an RBI-compliant loan lifecycle on WhatsApp

A Mumbai-headquartered multi-state cooperative bank with 47 branches and a ₹2,180 Cr advances book was losing high-intent loan applicants between branch visit and disbursal.   • Built a 23-step loan lifecycle flow — eligibility → KYC consent capture (DPDP-compliant, time-stamped) → document upload via Meta Native Flow → underwriter handoff → disbursal confirmation → first-EMI welcome.

  • Deployed a tiered dunning ladder on utility templates: T-3 / T-1 / T+0 EMI nudges, then 7-day / 15-day / 30-day past-due ladders with RBI-compliant language reviewed by legal.

  • Wired the grievance flow per RBI Internal Ombudsman timelines — auto-acknowledgement inside 1 hour, SLA escalation at 7 / 14 / 21 days, with branch manager Slack ping on breach risk.

  • Persisted every inbound + outbound message + consent event to an append-only audit log indexed by customer ID; one-click export for RBI inspections.

  • Retired two of three outbound dialers; redeployed 11 collections agents from dialing to high-value 90+ DPD case work via a unified RichAutomate inbox.
